Blood Bros. BBQ Review: Tender Ribs, Juicy Chicken & Asian Flavors

By · My firsthand restaurant visit

I went to Blood Bros. for barbecue with an Asian twist and ordered far too much food for one person. I wanted to try everything! The ribs, chicken and sides gave me plenty to enjoy, even though traditional barbecue is still my usual preference.

What I Ordered

Ribs

The ribs were juicy and so tender that the meat came right off the bone. The seasoning reminded me of Korean barbecue, and I loved the glaze. I tried a dipping sauce, but the ribs really did not need it.

Chicken

The chicken was even juicier than I expected. The outside was smoky, charred and spicy, and I really liked the seasoning. That skin was one of the best parts.

Fried brussels Sprouts

I loved the tangy flavor of these brussels sprouts. The sauce had a sourness I really enjoyed, and I kept coming back to them between bites of meat.

Kale Salad

The kale salad was a good change of pace: sweet and tart, with strawberries, nuts and dressing bringing different textures and flavors together.

How Much Was It?

What Would I Order Again?

The ribs, chicken and brussels sprouts stood out for me. I still generally prefer traditional barbecue, but I enjoyed this different take and the way the Asian flavors changed up the meal.
