Jollibee Review: My First Chickenjoy, Spaghetti & Chicken Sandwich

By · My firsthand restaurant visit

It had been raining all morning, so I went through the Jollibee drive-through and ate in my car. This was my first visit, and I had heard so much about it. The spicy chicken I wanted was sold out that day, so I tried three other things.

What I Ordered

Spaghetti

The spaghetti was sweet—really sweet—but I liked it. It was the kind of flavor that made me want another bite. I also enjoyed the sausage pieces mixed in.

Original Fried Chicken with Gravy

The chicken was juicy, and the coating was crispy. It was good, but it did not beat Popeyes for me. I grew up eating Popeyes, so that is the fried chicken I tend to compare others to. The gravy was a highlight, though: I really enjoyed it with the chicken.

Original Chicken Sandwich

The sandwich had a generous piece of chicken and a plump bun. I liked the flavor and the crunch, although the chicken was a little dry. It reminded me of a better version of the McDonald’s Hot ’n Spicy sandwich.

How Much Was It?

What Would I Order Again?

The sweet spaghetti and gravy were the parts I especially enjoyed. Overall, my first visit was okay, but it did not make me want to drive another 30 minutes just for this order. I still wanted to return to try the spicy chicken that was unavailable that day.
