Yummy Pho Katy Review: Giant Beef Rib, Bone Marrow Soup & Rich Broth
I usually eat pho at home, but friends and family had good things to say about Yummy Pho. With a name like that, I wanted to find out whether it lived up to it. The broth made a strong first impression.
What I Ordered
No. 15 Yummy Pho
This bowl came with filet mignon, well-done flank, fatty brisket, soft tendon, white tripe, meatball and a giant short rib. The broth was so rich, hearty and flavorful. I almost didn’t want to put hoisin and sriracha in it. I didn’t want to mess up a masterpiece.
The rib meat fell off the bone dramatically, but the leaner bites were not as tender as I expected. I liked the soft, fatty parts better. Of the meats I tried, the meatball was my favorite because it was the most tender to me. This was a huge bowl, and I could not finish it.
Bone Marrow Soup
The marrow practically disappeared as soon as it touched my tongue. The soup was rich, oily and full of flavor. I poured some into my pho broth and kept a little to enjoy on its own.
Salty Lemonade
This drink brought back memories of going out after Sunday school when I was younger. It had that salty lemonade flavor I remembered and was so refreshing. I had to put it aside so I would not fill up before eating.
How Much Was It?

What Would I Order Again?
The flavorful broth, bone marrow soup and salty lemonade were the highlights for me. I would keep the meatballs in mind for my next pho order. The giant rib looked impressive, but the broth was what really won me over.
